Kranlyft Group expands further with Magni Telescopic Handlers for the south of England
From the 1st of November 2019, Kranlyft UK became the exclusive dealer of Magni Telescopic Handlers’ products for the South of England. The contract follows the appointment in April 2019 of AB Kranlyft as the exclusive distributor for Magni products on the Swedish market. All sales activities for new models and aftermarket with service are henceforth managed by Kranlyft Group in both Sweden and the South of England including the London area.
The new distribution contract has been agreed and signed by the president of Magni Telescopic Handlers Riccardo Magni and Kranlyft Group’s CEO Jurgen Vater. Kranlyft UK and AB Kranlyft in Sweden will handle a defined Magni territory for sales, parts and service to increase the penetration of Magni products and to support the already significant Magni machine park. With an already successful preamble with the distribution in Sweden, Kranlyft Group has an ideal starting point for the market in England.
The Italian manufacturer Magni has become known for achieving great success with a leading range of compact machines with good lifting characteristics and working heights. Through innovative thinking, they have developed an appreciated range of telescopic handlers, aerial platforms, scissor lifts, etc. The complete range consists of over 50 models with a lift height of up to 46 meters and a lifting capacity that varies from 0.2 to 50 tons.
Kranlyft UK with facilities in Bristol
Kranlyft UK operates out of a modern facility in Avonmouth, Bristol. As well as being the Maeda and Klaas importer for the United Kingdom they also, hold a large stock of parts for Kato cranes and sell vacuum lifting gear from Glassworker/Uplifter. When asked about the partnership between Magni and Kranlyft UK Jurgen Vater, CEO of Kranlyft Group comments: ”We have worked with Magni in Sweden since April of this year and during this short period we have been impressed by their enthusiasm, attention to detail and high expertise. The Magni group has made a massive impact in their field achieving growth that has surpassed all expectations. They have a range of products that reaches sectors of the market that others can’t and it has left their competitors playing serious catch-up. Their innovative products complement our existing range and thus seamlessly reinforce our slogan ’Innovative lifting solutions since 1963’. Magni is a competent partner with their powerful range of machines and good service combined with a strong team that is shaped by professional pride.”
Jurgen Vater and Riccardo Magni, the president of Magni
Kranlyft Group has a large customer portfolio that are ideal candidates for the Magni range of machines and there has been a good response from companies that already been approached. The Magni products are a compliment to the machines they are currently selling and the Kranlyft Group has a good understanding of the technical challenges that come with this type of sale.
Alex White who runs the UK Operation for Magni comments: “This is another very exciting appointment for Magni. When looking for a dealer to represent the brand we had a clear vision for what was required. The key thing for us was the aftersales, to make sure that we provide the best solution for our customers. It was clear from our initial meetings with Kranlyft Group that aftersales is how they have grown their business as they have an impressive level of technical knowledge and a large holding of spare parts. Kranlyft Group has been involved in the lifting industry for a number of years and has become a key solution provider. Their location at the docks in Avonmouth means they are connected to the main arterial routes into London, the Midlands, and the South West so they can provide excellent coverage for Magni in these areas.”
The expansion is part of Kranlyft Group’s strategy to strengthen its market position and improve its offering to customers. Working with Magni, Kranlyft Group plan to intensively promote the brand in the whole of the Southern Counties and have big plans ahead for current and future Magni products. Jurgen Vater states: “Magni’s core values very much reflect ours which is one of the reasons why we have been able to achieve success in Sweden. Now we look forward to repeating this success in the UK and strengthen both brands long-term.”
